This privacy policy who we at Pollen Analytics LLC (“Pollen”) use personal information that you provide directly to us about yourself, (like your name, address, email address, or phone number) that is not otherwise commonly, publicly available (“Personal Information”).

1. Collection

When you sign up for an account at Pollen, we collect some of your Personal Information. That means you are not anonymous to us. It also means we may collect information about your transactions with us and with some of our customers and advertisers.

In addition, when you use any of our websites or applications (“Sites”), we automatically retrieve and record information on our Site server logs, including your IP address, the web request, and one or more cookies which may uniquely identify your browser. These server logs may also include your browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and other technical information your browser sends to our servers about the technical environment of your browser.

When you visit our Sites, we also store cookies in your browser to help keep track of things like your login information. A cookie is a small file containing data that’s stored in your browser itself and sent back to servers with each request. If your browser is set to refuse all cookies, some features of our Sites may not function properly.

When you send email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications.

We may present links on Sites or in emails or in advertisements that are in a format that enables us to track if and when those links have been clicked.

2. Uses

Pollen may use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. Customizing advertising and content you see on Sites;
  2. Internal research and analytics to maintain and improve Sites and advertising;
  3. Supporting the technical functioning of Sites;
  4. Fulfilling your requests and transactions for products and services;
  5. Contacting you;
  6. Providing anonymized, aggregated reporting for internal and external use;
  7. To display targeted advertisements from us to you;
  8. To satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request (which may include, but is not limited to, responding to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or establishing or exercising our legal rights or defending against legal claims);
  9. To enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof;
  10. To detect, prevent, investigate, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues;
  11. To protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of Pollen, the Sites, its users, or the public, as required or permitted by law, and to protect against potential threats to the physical safety of another person.

3. Disclosure

We do not rent or sell Personal Information about you to other people or companies, period.

Pollen uses Personal Information only in accordance with this policy and the uses described in section 2. From a technical perspective, we do, from time to time, need to upload or otherwise transfer Personal Information into third party platforms in order to physically make use of it for its stated purpose. For example, in order for a support person to contact you at your email, that support person must use Gmail to send you that email and Gmail is not a piece of software owned nor controlled by Pollen. Likewise, in order to target an ad to you on Facebook, we must be able to upload information about you to Facebook’s advertising tools. Whenever we need to use such third party platforms, we are only ever do it with the understanding that the platform allows access only to us in our private account, and that platform does not share your Personal Information with other of its own customers nor the public, in general.

4. Information Security

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to and/or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of Personal Information.

We limit or restrict access to Personal Information about you to our employees (including our contractors or agents) who we believe reasonably need to know that information to provide or develop services or to do their jobs.

We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect Personal Information about you.

5. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update and/or change this policy from time to time.

For minor changes that DO NOT reduce your rights (for example, if we STOP using targeted advertising or if we correct a misspelling or add clarifying wording), we will make such changes without your explicit consent.

For major or significant changes, we will send a notice to the primary email address listed on your account. If you continue to use Pollen Sites after that notice, that indicates your acceptance of those changes.
